John Montaña, J.D. F.I.I.M, F.A.I. is Principle of the Montaña Group, a think tank and technology development organization focused on the use of software solutions to analyze and resolve a wide range of legal issues using data mining, artificial intelligence and related processes and techniques. He is currently focused on trade sanctions compliance and other multinational trade compliance issues. In his career, he has advised corporations, law firms and non-profit organizations on best practices and legal compliance in compliance scenarios of all types. His work has included analysis and advice on a wide variety of governance, compliance and risk management issues. He is widely recognized as one of the foremost data compliance experts in the country. Mr. Montaña has published four books on records management issues, as well as dozens of articles for magazines and professional journals, and is an active seminar speaker on records management topics. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. He is a recipient of the Britt Literary Award from ARMA International. A recognized innovator in business automation technologies, including document and records management, workflow, conversion methodologies and business process paradigms, Mr. Booz brings a unique perspective to the confluence of information governance, information technology and business requirements. As a member of numerous project teams he continues to be involved in financial, health, legal, insurance and governmental projects.
