Chapter Meetings, Presentations, Conferences, and Networking Events

In keeping with ARMA International’s mission for records management, to educate, advocate and provide resources that enable professionals to manage information as a critical element of the organizational operations and governance, the Capitol Chapter has a proposed schedule of educational events for the 2016-17 fiscal year. The Capitol Chapter will host presentations by expert speakers to present and discuss Records and Information Management (RIM) topics. In addition, we will periodically host networking events for sharing and gaining knowledge on topics of your choosing. Please keep checking back for future events, get on our contact list by registering on this site, or join us on Linked-In.

Synopsis
RECORDS KNOWLEDGE is a multi-perspective understanding of both general and specific content within a records management and compliance context, while providing concurrent multi-perspective links to an organization’s general information. Records Knowledge is dynamic, and thus influenced like everything else by the innovations and upheavals affecting everything in this great flood of information. Founded in 1999, the RECORDS KNOWLEDGE CONFERENCE is an annual Sacramento forum designed to consider all records issues within the context of the broader information technology capabilities and concerns.

This year's conference will focus on the emerging challenges for traditional record keeping paradigms (PRA, body cams, text messages, etc.), the implications and possible solutions to those challenges, and many other related issues (e.g. AI, Blockchain, record governance granularity, and cybersecurity.)
